We will treat court order as rumour – NAGRAT. Update: 04 -Nov - 2014
In spite of a court order asking them to return to the classroom the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) says it is yet to receive the writ. Government on Friday secured an interlocutory injunction against the
twelve labour unions on strike over it handling of the second tier pension scheme. This was after efforts by the Minister of
Employment and Labour Relation, Haruna Iddrisu to get them back to work proved futile. But President of NAGRAT, Christian Addae-
Poku on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday said they are still on strike.
He expressed grave displeasure about the posture of government when they are still on the negotiating table. “We take strong exception to the conduct of
government; we have not receive any writ ordering us to call off the strike,” he stressed. Mr. Addae-Poku until they receive the
interlocutory injunction formally, they will treat it as a rumour.
“The ex-parte motion remains a rumour or media report until we are formally informed” he stated.
